Clothing

In all camps laundry is done daily – so unless adverse weather is experienced, or on transfer days, you can expect clean, ironed clothes daily. For this reason it is best to pack lightly. The recommended packing list is sufficient for all our camps and areas. Stay away from delicate fabrics – rather select soft, comfortable clothes in neutral colours, khaki or drab green. Camouflage is permitted in most areas now, however be sure to check up on this prior to packing.

Boots should be well worn, soft and comfortable. Soft, rubber soles are best for stalking and tennis shoes are good for wearing around the camp in the evenings.

Do not forget any personal prescription medications, sunscreen, chapstick and a hat. A warm jacket, gloves and sweaters are also essential and should your safari include one of our desert concessions, thermal underwear and thick woollen socks are recommended.
